Recall that on Friday 2nd of November, 2018 reports emerged and circulated in various online and print media, of an IMSU student - one Samuel Ekani - who was allegedly arrested in Works Layout, Owerri for armed robbery alongside some other fellow by men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS).
The Dean Students Affairs, Prof. Martins Uchenna has now revealed that Samuel Ekani is not a student of Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) and declared such reports as false.
Speaking to Imo Stars and dignitaries at the Inaugural Students Assembly of Imo State University held at the University Auditorium on Thursday, the digital Dean expressly said: "....they said one of our students was arrested for his involvement in armed robbery. But I tell you, it is not true. He is not our student and not one of us
