The attention of the National Association of Nigerian Students leadership has been drawn to the arrest of some Nigerian Students at Nnewi Market in Anambra State simply in the name of been an IPOB members.
This arrest was uncalled for as those arrested students weren't part of IPOB exercises or play loyalty to the body but were nocked down by the men of Nigerian Police who went there arresting every being at their sight in the name of arresting IPOB members. So, I wish to humbly call on the Inspector General Of Police IG to acknowledge the fact that they are Nigerian Students and please release them.
They can't continue to be subjected into such pains because the schools are closed due to ASUU Strike and of such they have to be assisting their parents in the Market or hustle to make end meet.
They are simply victims of circumstances, therefore I urge the IG of police to release them within 3days else we shall mobilize and shut down Economic activities in South-East and NIGER BRIDGE until our people are freed!!!.
An Injury to One is An Injury To All.
