The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will today meet with FG via Ministry of Labour and Employment in Abuja over the Nationwide industrial strike action in public universities since November 5th, 2018.

PUNCH confirmed on Wednesday that the Federal Government delegation led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, would meet with ASUU executives led by the National President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, in Abuja to review the September 2017 Memorandum of Action.

This was also confirmed by the ASUU National chairman, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi.

In our last update, we learnt that since the resumption of the Nationwide industrial action by ASUU as regards the improper implementation of the 2017 MoA between ASUU & FG; the FG is yet to meet with the Union.
Let's hope that something positive comes out of today's meeting.
