Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) IMSU embarked on an indefinite strike today.
The strike they revealed, while stage a protest at IMSU Front gate, was due to salaries arrears owed them by the state government. They also alleged marginalization.
However, attempts by our media team to reach any NASU IMSU official proved abortive while the CSO IMSU declined to comment on the issue as of time of filing this report.
Meanwhile academic activities resumed rather slowly today as some departments began lectures today namely department of education government finalists of the faculty of education. Other departments are reported to resume in earnest with some resuming next week Monday.
However it remains to be seen if the recent NASU IMSU strike will affect the scheme of things.
