The Imo State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has joined the ongoing nationwide strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to press home the delay in fixing a new minimum wage for their workers.

Engr. Dr Luke Uzoigwe,
Chairman of the chapter, said on Thursday that the move followed their resolution. He said "Yes, ASUU joined in the ongoing NLC strike, we're returning at the expiration of 7days".

Meanwhile, prospective students who participated in Imo State University Post-UTME Admission screening exercise for 2018/2019 can now check if their names where among those uploaded on Jamb Portal via the central admission processing system (CAPS).
